The GFHQ CORE CNC Plate Plasma – Downdraft is built to work hard: a fully welded heavy-wall steel frame, a precision drive system and the options to set it up the way your shop works. It's designed and built by Garage Fab HQ, and every machine is built to order with a 6–8 week lead time. Prefer a water table? Choose Water Pan on this page.
Choose Your Plasma Cutter
Add a cutter from us and it comes with the GFHQ CNC Com Cable, ready to connect to your table: Everlast 62i, 82i or 102i, or Hypertherm 45, 65 or 85 SYNC. Already have a CNC-ready cutter? Choose None.
Who It's For
- Production shops that cut every day
- Fabricators who need a rigid, welded frame
- Shops stepping up from BUILD
- Businesses planning to grow into PRO later
You don't need CNC experience. Some basic CAD knowledge helps, and the included free design software and the GFHQ Design Lab make it easy to learn.
Arrives Fully Built
- We build the whole machine. Garage Fab HQ fully builds, assembles and tests every CORE machine before it ships or you pick it up. Lead time is 6–8 weeks.
- You install it and start cutting. It may need some adjustments and tuning after installation, but you're up and running much quicker than with a kit.
Frame
- Fully welded frame of 11-gauge rectangular steel tubing
- Flat-top table design, so you can load material from any direction
- Heavy-duty adjustable caster wheels, so you can move it and then level it where you need it
Your Choice of Table
- Water pan: catches sparks, cools parts and keeps smoke and dust down
- Downdraft: pulls smoke and fumes down and away from the operator. Great for HVAC work and jobs that can't be contaminated by water
Motion
- X and Y: rack and pinion direct drive on our roller bearing drive, with gear reduction for added performance
- Z: ball screw assembly for accurate, repeatable torch height
- Motors: NEMA 23, 425 oz-in closed-loop steppers with magnetic encoders on every axis, so missed steps are caught and corrected. Want a servo drive system upgrade? Contact our sales team
Control and Software
- MyPlasm controller
- USB drive with MyPlasm, QCAD and Inkscape
